1) A morning baby... he wakes up with a smile, usually flops in our bed from the co-sleeper (when he isn't already in our bed - his nursery gets NO use around these parts)... and laughs and hits us on the face until we wake up.
2) Ready to walk... and quite impressed with his growing abilities. Wesley cruises on furniture to get around, lets go and raises his hands in the air and looks around until he knows he has an audience. Then he laughs until he flaps his arms and falls. His big brother find its all very amusing.
3) Picky. If you aren't Mommy, Daddy, Grandma or his caretaker, Ms. K, you have to work to get Wesley to be comfortable enough to let you hold him. Although he is all smiles from a distance, he has a warming up period, followed by a period where I have to be somewhere within eye sight for him to be comfortable - then it is all smiles again.
4) HUNGRY. Unlike his older brother (who is indignantly against 99% of the food you place in front of him), Wesley can throw 'em back! He can drink an eight ounce bottle, turn around and eat a jar of fruit, veggies and a yogurt. Which makes number 5 kind of odd...
5) Small for his age! With a Mama who is 6'1, Dad who is 6'4 and big brother who is 3 but already in 5 year clothes, you would think Wesley would follow suit. Nope, Wesley is right smack dab in the middle of the chart in the average range. We went out for ice cream a few weeks ago and a woman asked me if he was small for his age! Shocking... but I am confident he will catch up.
6) A little bit of a div-o. Is that the male word for 'diva'? Wes is a total attention hog. When we are out at a restaurant, he loves to find an audience. He will clap, talk at the top of his lungs and smile at anyone and everyone to get attention. When I am holding him or he is in his baby sling, he will crane his little neck to see what is going on around him.
7) A splasher. "Wesley's Bath" could be a water ride at Six Flags. He LOVES to splash until most of the water is out of the tub and then giggle when he sees he got you wet.
8) Growing into the little brother title. Wesley loves following Isaiah all over the house. The minute he sees him he starts crawling to him, trying to get his toys, trying to pull his hands, laughing when Isaiah does a silly dance... most times Isaiah is yelling for us to get him to leave him alone. Other times, I can tell he loves the attention.
9) Popular with the babies. Wesley was the first to crawl and pull up in nursery class because he is one of the oldest. The other babies think he is pretty awesome. They laugh and clap and copy his baby moves. It's cool being the Mommy of the cool kid.
10) Loves pretty girls. Like his brother, Wesley is a sucker for a pretty little girl. He met his little cousin Kiana for the first time this weekend and he fell in love. He was smiling and laughing. Everything she did, he thought was the greatest thing. I have no CLUE what I am going to do when these boys hit their teens.

Happy 10-months to Wesley. He is so sweet and so adorable and I loved reading each and every one of these 10 things. He seems like such a character! Love that he is cruising and on the verge of walking. Go Wesley!!!
